Men's Prayer

Redeemer men of all ages, join us for 5 weeks of prayer together at 5:30am on Tuesday mornings in the Worship Center.

We keep it simple. 

• For 30 minutes, we'll discuss chapters we read from Screwtape Letters by CS Lewis.
• For 30 minutes, we'll pray together.
• We will have coffee.

FAQs

Why so early? 

Many students in our church body have to be at school early (like, by 7am). Many guys also have long commutes to work. Believe it or not, this isn't early enough for some men. We are trying to go as early as possible to make it available to as many as possible.

Why Screwtape Letters? 

Several reasons: 1. It's a classic, and CS Lewis is awesome. 2. The chapters are very short and managable. I know we don't all have hours to read. 3. It's about spiritual warfare, which is appropriate as we gather to pray.

I'm not much of a reader. Can I still come? 

Sure! There's no one passing out grades. If you choose to read or not, we'd love for you to join us for prayer.

How old does my son need to be to come? 

That's up to you. The younger the child, the more of the book will go over his head. But I do think that (with some assistance) even elementary age kids could glean some good things from this book, and would certianly benefit from praying with men of the church. It's up to you, as you judge your child's maturity level. 

I won't be able to make every week. Should I still come? 

We'd love for you to join us for as few or many weeks as you can make it.
